Retreat

When the going gets tough...plan a sister retreat. Sometimes one just needs the encircling of family to get us over life's little bumps and to keep us strong. Sometimes we just need to re-group and be together with no expectations or demands. And, that's exactly what we did when the sisters, Mom, cousin's Liz and Rondal decided to retreat to the mountains of Cumberland Gap in Southern Kentucky. Oh my! What a view! We got a vacation home overlooking the Cumberland River. This was Mothers treat. Thanks MOM!  When we arrived, the weather was in the lower 70's and sunny and 2 days later we had a beautiful snow. It was so wonderful! We laughed, talked, sang, cried, enjoyed the hot tub, took walks and knitted hats for the 7 Sisters Conquering Cancer project that sisters Angie and Beverly jump-started. Angie and Bev will be traveling to Florida in April to participate in Relay for Life which is being sponsored by the company that Angie works for in Paducah called "Lynx".  Life is so full of blessings.
